Chinese Students and Scholars Association at WSU is an officially registered student organization of WSU. As one of the student organizations at WSU, CSSA@WSU has been an increasingly active and influential force in sponsoring and organizing activities on the WSU campus and in the Chinese community of Palouse.
The objective of CSSA@WSU is to serve the Chinese students and scholars community at WSU and in the Pullman – Moscow area. As representative of the WSU Chinese community, CSSA@WSU vigorously organizes a variety of activities and events to highlight and spread Chinese culture, which contributes a lot to the rich diversity on the WSU campus. In the recent years, CSSA@WSU has successfully organized many cultural events, including the Mid-Autumn Festival/National Day Celebration and Chinese New Year Celebration. These activities attracted a large number of students, scholars and influential guests from China and other countries.
CSSA@WSU is also working and interacting with international students from other countries and domestic students in the U.S., CSSA@WSU is a bridge between Chinese community and people from other cultures. By participating in the activities sponsored by organizes, such as International Education Week, Asian Cup and Chinese Film & Culture Night, CSSA@WSU plays a significant role in the culture and information exchange on the WSU campus.
Apart from organizing large events, CSSA@WSU has always been to serve the WSU Chinese community in their daily lives, like airport pick-ups.
The CSSA@WSU Committee, elected each year, always consists of a group of CSSA members with leadership and devotion. Their voluntary but professional work has produced not only major events, but also excellent regular activities and services for our members.
The current committee is resolute in fostering a strong and open Chinese community as well as a unique appreciation of Chinese culture at WSU. We hope our endeavors can make your study and life in Pullman a valuable and wonderful experience.
